L'Arte di Viaggiare - Art of Travel - Francis Galton

Alcuni anni fa ho avuto occasione di incontrare nuovamente il cantautore Enzo Maolucci, che conoscevo negli anni '70 e di cui ero un'ammiratrice. Da molti anni egli si dedica al survival come sport ed ha creato, a questo scopo, il Salgari Campus, sulla collina torinese.
In mezzo alle tende, ai bungalows, alle liane, ai ponti tibetani e tirolesi, agli scivoli e alle scale, ai labirinti e alle pareti da scalare, alle aree per il tiro con l'arco e il giavellotto, molti ragazzi e adulti si esercitano per sviluppare le loro capacità di coordinazione e di adattamento all'ambiente.
Come souvenir della mia visita al Salgari campus Enzo mi ha dato una bella T-shirt, che fa parte degli oggetti reperibili presso di loro.



Some years ago I happened to meet again the singer-songwriter Enzo Maolucci, whom I knew in the '70' and of whom I have been an admirer. Today, he is involved in survival sports and experimentations at Salgari Campus, at one time a place that was the inspiration for the writer who created the characters of Sandokan and Corsaro Nero.
Nowdays, in amongst the tents, the bungalows, the lianas, the Tyrolese and Tibetan bridges, the slipways, the stairways, the pathways through mazes, the archery and javelin areas, the climbing walls, many youngsters and grown-ups play the leading roles in adventures that develop co-ordination, skills and adaptability.
As a souvenir from my visit to Salgari Campus Enzo had given me this great T-shirt, which is part of the memorabilia available from them.
